Another Famous Resident of Foy.

As well as the latest famous link to Foy in Herefordshire, Foy is also famous for helping to protect an endangered English Breed. There are only around 400 Suffolk Punch horses left in England and a local businessman Mr Roger Parckar with his wife Jill have for several years been breeding Suffolk Punches on their land at Foy.
"This year they had double success with their three year old Dawley Freya of Foy winning 1st prize in the Royal Show" said Lucy Hurds (North Herefordshire Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate) who visited the horses on Saturday to learn more about the breed. "I must congratulate the Parckar's and Ray who works with them looking after the horses, they are doing a great job helping protect the breed and the horses are very well cared for and are obviously well loved."
"Also their new foal Dawley Franklin of Foy has beaten the odds as his mother died when he was born and the family had to bottle feed him until a surrogate mother could be found. At three months he is now thriving as he is almost as tall as the Mare borrowed to rear him."
