If everyone in the UK recycled just one card each,

Lucy Hurds North Herefordshire Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate was today at Tesco's Store in Ledbury with Adrian Price (Combined Trading Manager) recycling her Christmas Cards.
Tesco's has teamed up with The Woodland Trust to offer recycling facilities for Christmas cards until the 31 January 2009. Or, if you get your groceries delivered, simply hand the cards to the delivery driver.
If everyone in the UK recycled just one card each, The Woodland Trust would be able to plant 15,000 trees.
By collecting Christmas cards to recycle, The Woodland Trust can earn recycling credits from local authorities, which are turned into funds to plant new trees.
The UK is currently one of the least wooded countries in Europe, with just 12 per cent woodland, compared to 44 per cent on the continent. In the fight against climate change, trees play a vital role, as they help turn CO2 into oxygen.
"I would like to thank all the shops that have provided this facility, it is always wonderful hearing from people over Christmas and to be able to recycle the cards is a great help to the Woodland Trust and to us all" said Lucy.
