Lucy Hurds
With so much attention being focussed on politics and politicians over the last few years, this General Election will finally give voters a way to make opinions known.
With Parliament being rocked by scandals, this year is set to see the largest number of MPs losing their seats since World War II. In North Herefordshire, MP Bill Wiggin has caused disgust with his expense claims and shocking reference to local Cadbury employees as a 'whinging workforce.'
Now more than ever, we need change, we need better from the people that represent us. At this election, if you want change in our politics and if you want an end to the way Labour has ignored the views of our country.
Liberal Democrat candidate, Lucy Hurds, grew up in Herefordshire, going to school at St Joseph's in Ross and then to St. Mary's, Lugwardine and Hereford Sixth Form College. She worked in Supervisory Management and then became self employed helping small businesses with their accounts. Lucy now lives in Weobley with her husband and family. Having grown up, worked and raised a family here, Lucy knows the challenges facing the county. She is already using this knowledge to help local residents.
